This update begins the process of uncovering other Monte San Giacomese living in the united states laterally — through marriage to an already identified emigrant.
For example, having loaded in my own family tree, I knew that Mary Fischkelta married Saverio “Sam” Monaco. Some quick searching of Sam revealed that he descends from Saverio Cono Monaco and Maria Giuseppa Guida and happens to be Mary’s 2nd cousin, once-removed!
This update then includes:
1.The families of Saverio and Maria Giuseppa‘s sons: Giuseppe Monaco (m. Pasqualina Pierro) and Vincenzo Monaco (m. Rosa Calabrese).
2. The families of Matteo Calabrese and Giovanna Totaro‘s sons: Pasquale Calabrese (m. Mary Lisa) and Michele Calabrese (m. Maria Giuseppa Amato), Rosa Calabrese’s father.
3. The family of Vincenzo Lisa (m. Maria Lisa) whose son Pasquale married Pasqualina Chirichella
4. The family of Giacomo Chirichella (m. Nunziata Cardillo) whose daughter Pasqualina married Pasquale Lisa.
5. The family of Filomena Romano (m. Pasquale Lisa) who remarried Domenico Lisa after his wife Rosa Romano died.
