The Vernonville Dairy, 617 W 46th Street, New York City, is the thread that ties this update together. It was owned (along with several other Milk related companies) by Antonio Racioppi and his brother Frank, serving as president and vice-president. Many of his employees were his family.
However the research didn’t start with Antonio, I had seen references to the Dairy in WWII Draft Cards but only once was Antonio referenced by name. It turned out, through some more lateral research, he was the brother of Pasqualina Racioppi, who features in the Gaetano Miele & Francesca Larocca research.
This update includes:
- The family of Sabato Caporrino and Josephine Lisa
- The family of Angelo Lisa and Maria Monacella (Josephine’s parents)
- The family of Carmine Cerbo and Rosaria Policastro
- The family of Giovanni Pantoliano and Rosa Racioppi (their daughter Maria was Carmine’s first wife)
- The family of Gaetano Miele and Francesca LaRocca, whose daughter, Anna married Saverio Pantoliano; also the rest of the family of Antonio Miele and Antonia Aletta, Gaetano’s Parents.
- The family of Giuseppe Racioppi and Maria Monaco, whose daughter Rosa married Giovanni Pantoliano, and whose daughter Pasqualina married Anthony Miele, Gaetano’s son. Giuseppe and Maria are the parents of Antonio Racioppi (of Vernonville Dairy).
- The blended families of Giovanni Ciro Brando and Annamaria Stefano and Giovanni Chirichella and Rosa Giustina Carlo
- The family of Vincenzo Romano and Rosa Totaro, which allowed me to tie together information found on the Monte San Giacomo virtual cemetery.
All told this update adds 356 people and 1063 images.
