On this, the last update for 2021, it seems fitting to acknowledge just how many connections researching Pietro Antonio Policastro (see prior posts) has given us. Thanks to a friend of the project donating his research, we were able to discover several new US based marriages between children of Monte San Giacomo.
Starting with Bridget Galante, whose parents Vincenzo and Carmela Lisa were married in Monte San Giacomo, we move to her brother Domenico who married Anna Maria Policastro whose father Gaetano married Maria Cristina Ronga in New Jersey. They had 9 children. Her daughter married Matteo Amato, born in New York to Michele Amato and Antonia Petrizzo. All of this Galante/Policastro research is in. Next up will be to look at the Ronga and Amato familes.
Also in this update is coordinating between the Sassano research and Monte San Giacomo (so to make sure that when the big import happens at the conclusion of the Sassano research, that it will be easy to avoid duplicates). This affects mostly people from the 1600s-1700s with date adjustments and a few parent-child relationships.
