Like much of the world, but for an entirely different reason, we are trying to get back to normal, which explains the lack of progress since December.

Due to a software upgrade, the genealogy site was rendered unusable, requiring it to be rebuilt from scratch. After that, the integration with some commercial services failed, not allowing the critical data sync that the site depends upon to function. Fortunately, that has been resolved as of yesterday!

But we have not been idle. Since the discovery of the Sassano Parish Records, we have been scouring them to find intermarriages between Monte San Giacomo and Sassano. The going is slow because the original indexer of the records was not sufficiently meticulous and there is much that is wrong or missing. So we decided it would be more effective to build out the town of Sassano like Monte San Giacomo and then merge the relevant data. That update, when it comes, will be massive.

Now that we have reconnected the data sync, we will continue to update the site, though less frequently as our attention is on Sassano in the 16-1700s and the several dozen marriages we’ve already found.
